Les Journées des Métiers d’Art ont été créées en France en 2002 et sont devenues européennes en 2012. Coordonnées par l’Institut pour les Savoir-Faire Français, elles sont le premier événement international dédié au secteur. Les JEMA se déroulent tous les ans au printemps et consistent en porte ouvertes d’ateliers, en manifestations collectives et visites d’établissements de formation, de musées et de lieux d’exception. 26 pays ont participé aux JEMA 2025. Les JEMA 2026 se dérouleront du 7 au 12 avril 2026 sous le thème « Coeurs à l’ouvrage », dédié à l’importance du collectif, des synergies culturelles et territoriales et du dynamisme rural.

The Artistic Crafts Days were created in France in 2002 and became European in 2012. They were launched by the French Savoir-Faire Institute and have become the first international event dedicated to crafts. They take place every year during the beginning of spring. Craft studios open their doors to the public and outdoor demonstrations are held by craftspeople, training schools and museums. 26 countries were involved in the 2025 EACD. The 2026 EACD will occur from the 7th to the 12th of April 2026. The theme « Coeurs à l’ouvrage » (currently being translated) will be dedicated to the importance of collective spirit, cultural and territorial synergies, and rural vitality.
